2015 WV Dandelion Festival Receives CVB Mini-Grant

May 14, 2015

Lewisburg, WV – The Greenbrier County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) grants $1,500 in marketing funds for the 2015 West Virginia Dandelion Festival held in White Sulphur Springs.

The festival takes place Memorial Day Weekend throughout downtown White Sulphur Springs. This year the festival commences Friday evening with a welcoming ceremony followed by an art show in the White Sulphur Springs library. Highlights for Saturday include a fishing derby, corn hole tournament, car show and live music. On Sunday, the festival honors all veterans with a luncheon and parade.

Each year the CVB sets aside a portion of its budget to assist local entities with their tourism marketing efforts. For the first 2015 application cycle, the CVB awarded over $15,000 to eleven Greenbrier County organizations. To be eligible, projects must market a tourism-related event, attraction or initiative that enhance Greenbrier County’s image as a travel destination.  The second round of 2015 mini-grants is approaching with applications being accepted through July 6.
