Coffee & Tea

Ready for a wake-up call? The coffee houses in the Greenbrier Valley are passionate about coffee making (and tea), so no matter what gets you going every day—Café Noir, Espresso, Latte, Cappuccino—you’ll find just what the tastebuds desire.

Favorite Greenbrier Coffee Shops

One of the more popular a.m. hotspots is The Wild Bean, a Lewisburg, WV coffee shop. There’s plenty of seating to hang out, relax or even take in a casual business meeting. From espressos to Americanos, to lattes and frappes, all your classic forms of bean beverages are available. “The Bean” also features more exotic concoctions, like the Mexican Mocha Frappe, a cinnamon and chocolate-infused Frappuccino topped with house-made whipped cream, or an Earl Grey London Fog with freshly made vanilla syrup and your choice of steamed milk.

For a downtown White Sulphur Springs coffee shop, Tootsie’s Place serves all the classic hot and iced brews… mochas, lattes, Americanos and more. Order ahead or stop in and pick up a sweet treat to go with your beverage.

Traveling through Alderson or Rainelle? There’s Fruits of Labor Cafe & Bakery in Alderson at the old Gulf Station, featuring a full coffee and tea menu. For a west end coffee house, the Rainelle Deli & Marketplace serves up a specialty coffee experience that goes beyond the basics, with seasonal lattes, custom syrups and your choice of milk. Thing pumpkin spice latte, oat-milk mochas and brown-sugar cold foam.

The Hub Cafe is a non-profit, and all its revenue supports its earn-and-learn programs and community activities. The cafe team has coffee-making down to a science and is well-equipped to whip up your favorite cup of joe. If you want to give a local brew a taste test, the cafe serves Mountain Folk Coffee, a locally roasted brew.

Coffee on the Go

If you want to grab your drink on the go, swing by Manic Espresso on the West Virginia State Fairgrounds parking lot. This drive-through establishment sources a special roast of coffee direct from Seattle, Washington. Drive through for your mocha and macchiato needs or get fancy with their Cupid’s Cold Brew (cold brewed coffee with white chocolate, topped with raspberry cold foam and white chocolate drizzle) or the Caramel Butter Pecan Breve (caramel and butter pecan in a deliciously creamy latte).

Specialty Teas

For herbal blends, the Lewisburg Nutrition Club specializes in super specialty teas and loaded teas (both with no sugar) that can deliver your daily vitamins. Insider’s Tip: the loaded teas are like a “B12 shot in a cup!” The Club also offers selections of iced coffee, shakes, and kid-friendly drinks… in a setting that’s “sunny and 75 all the time.”
