Lewisburg Literary Festival

Friday and Saturday, August 1 and 2, 2025

The first weekend in August will bring a celebration of literature to town as the Lewisburg Literary Festival weekend event hosts visiting authors, writing workshops, book sales, musical entertainment, performance art, a Story Walk throughout town, the "Literary Fashion Contest" and more! And best of all... it’s FREE for all to enjoy! (First-come, first-serve seating for featured author speaking events.)

Don't forget to visit the festival bookstore known as the Literary Town Square which will be set up inside the Greenbrier Valley Visitors Center on both days of the festival.

  • Adriana Trigiani ~ Saturday, August 2nd at 7pm (Carnegie Hall)
  • David Joy ~ Saturday, August 2nd at 3pm (Carnegie Hall)
  • Ron Rash ~ Saturday, August 2nd at 1pm (Carnegie Hall)
  • Chef William Dissen ~ Friday, August 1st at 7:30pm (The Lewis Theatre)

2025 Workshops (held in the Greenbrier Valley Visitors Center Rahall Conference Room)

  • Friday, August 1st at 6pm ~ Adam Gussow ~ Blues Harmonica Workshop for Beginners and Others
  • Saturday, August 2nd at 9:30am ~ Val Nieman ~ Telling the Tale" The Story in Poem
  • Saturday, August 2nd at 10:00am ~ Linda Zimmer ~ Writing Like Beatrix Potter (for ages 7 - 12)
  • Saturday, August 2nd at 11:00am ~ Laura Treacy Bentley ~ Just Like Flying a Plane
