Success Story in the Making. It was June 2016 when the city of White Sulphur Springs was nearly lost to floodwaters. Four years later it has not only recovered, but it's flourishing, with residents, investors and local government taking an active role in realizing its future.
Housing development, recreational facilities, fresh markets and industry are giving residents and visitors a vibrant landscape they haven’t experienced in decades. Once empty downtown buildings are being reimagined with new businesses opening their doors. And the mayor along with his team of collaborators are capitalizing on the region’s recreational assets, rebranding the city as a primary gateway to the Monongahela National Forest, coined Mon Forest Town.
