Last Call for Love Itinerary
Love is worth raising a glass to, and there's no better place to celebrate than the Greenbrier Valley.
Love is worth raising a glass to, and there's no better place to celebrate than the Greenbrier Valley.
Check-In Day: Stay at the Thomas Rose Inn. A quaint, cozy room is waiting for you, conveniently located downtown in historic Lewisburg, so walking is easy. Get a seat at the Briergarten and pair your bratwurst or rueben alongside a pint of local or imported craft beers. Enjoy the lively atmosphere that pours into the spacious fireside and flower-filled patio.
Full Day in the Valley: Let The Wild Bean be your first stop in the morning. It’s a charming local spot where handcrafted drinks from matcha to espresso and carefully created treats offer exactly the reset you didn't know you needed. With a few hours to spare, lose yourself in the heart of Downtown Lewisburg. Browse boutique storefronts stocked with one-of-a-kind knick-knacks, local memorabilia and clothing worth styling. Or check out the Smooth Ambler Spirits for a tour of the distillery production and tasting room of their very own liquors.
For the Beer drinkers, start at Greenbrier Valley Brewing Co and check to see if there’s live music that night to enhance your experience with their very own eats! Cider lovers will find their place at Hawk Knob, where the orchard meets the glass in the best possible way. Settle in, soak up the views and don't leave without grabbing a bite like the Figgy Goat Burger. This local beef patty is topped and stacked with chevre, honey fig jam, truffle aioli, caramelized onions and mixed greens.
In the morning, before checking out, head back to The General Lewis Inn for their brunch menu served in the garden and only on weekends. Try the Eggs Norwegian or the Brunch Burger, and don’t forget to pair it with their perfected Bloody Mary.
You may be surprised to find yourself just as in love as we are.
