It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas on a visit to the Greenbrier Valley! Festive trimmings abound with vibrant downtowns decked in seasonal finery. The Greenbrier has rolled out the "green" carpet with holiday-themed activities, sugar plums, sweet treats and dances under the mistletoe.

 

THE GREENBRIER

Thanksgiving. Decorated in full holiday regalia, The Greenbrier resort is the quintessential destination for family together-time. For Thanksgiving weekend, partake in a "punch card" of festive activities and a bounty of fine dining.  

Christmas. It's a joyous time of year that is sure to bring the family closer together. From magic shows, painting workshops and storybook readings to the Reindeer Fun Run and Gingerbread Ball, the Christmas weekend is filled with good cheer and good times you won't want to miss!

New Year's. Ring in 2021 at "America's Resort!" Say goodbye to 2020 with a weekend full of entertainment, fine dining and fun. New Year's at The Greenbrier is sure to be a grand time!

DOWNTOWN DISTRICTS

The Magic of Christmas in Lewisburg. The downtown district is transformed into a holiday wonderland complete with horse-drawn carriage rides, sweet treats and seasonal specials. For the little ones, take A Christmas Tale stroll through town and stop by Santa's Mailbox. Christmas wishes are delivered daily to the North Pole!

White Sulphur Springs Winterfest. This vibrant downtown is bustling with activity, so get your shopping list ready! A myriad of eclectic shops are open on Main Street, making downtown White Sulphur a must-do if you're in need of a little creative gift buying. Holiday Open House and the holiday parade are shaping up for Saturday, December 5th! More details coming soon. 

Alderson Grand Illumination. On December 4, the town of Alderson unveils the magic of the season with a reverse parade! Take your position early in the “motorcade,” for the “Queen of Lights” will lead spectators across Memorial Bridge and down the parade route, lighting her way with twinkling lights. Parade floats, shops and streets to the great star over Alderson, the whole town will shine bright in celebration of the season.

NOV 28. Keep our small business community working! On November 28th or any other day this season, plan a #shopsmall outing that supports our local business merchants. In the Greenbrier Valley, independent shops, restaurants and attractions are ready to solve your gift-giving dilemmas with one-of-a-kind collectibles for the sensibly-chic to creative ideas for the person who has everything.

 

CHRISTMAS AT THE FAIR

November 28th through January 2ndHolidays in the Greenbrier Valley aren't complete without a trip to the fair! Turn left on Blue Ribbon Drive for a drive-through light show of dazzling proportions. The fairgrounds are buzzing with the sights and sounds of Santa’s workshop and elves, a gingerbread village, the Grinch and his trusty companion, Max, the tunnel of lights and other illuminating surprises!  Free to enjoy, but donations are appreciated.
