The many layers of producing a video can be daunting. Figuring out lighting, composition and not to mention the vast selection of equipment options is challenging. Learn how to take your smartphone and turn it into one of your most powerful marketing tools. The Greenbrier County Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) is offering a DIY Video Production workshop at 9 a.m., June 5, in the Rahall Room of the Greenbrier Valley Visitors Center.
Josh Baldwin, the owner of Black Lantern Productions and Havenbrook Media, breaks down the process of creating a video, working with lighting and audio. Also, Baldwin shares apps that can be downloaded to a smartphone allowing for production on the fly.
A West Virginia native, Baldwin is a publisher, filmmaker and musician. He is the founder of Greenbrier Valley Quarterly, a cultural and lifestyle magazine. He is also an award-winning filmmaker. His documentaries “The Contender” and “The Flood” received recognition at the West Virginia FILMmakers Festival.
Through the Partner Education Series, the CVB provides free workshops that allow tourism partners to learn marketing best practices and easy-to-implement techniques while staying up-to-date on the latest trends.
