Lewisburg, WV – The Greenbrier County Convention & Visitors Bureau (GCCVB) will partner with Greenbrier County Schools to present the talent of local students. The GCCVB will host choral presentations, display student artwork and provide a space to show off the latest technologic learning tools. During December’s First Fridays After Five, choral groups from Greenbrier East High School, Eastern Greenbrier Middle School and Western Greenbrier Middle School will perform holiday-themed music with the East choir singing at 5 p.m., the Eastern Choir following at 6 p.m. and the Western Choir caroling at 6:30 p.m. The Visitors Center showcases local artists in its monthly Art in the Valley exhibit. December and January are devoted to the artistic debut of Greenbrier County middle and high school students in an exhibit entitled “The Gifts of Our Talent.” The two- and three-dimensional artwork will be featured at the Visitors Center beginning Friday, December 5 and will remain on display through January. Mary Cole Deitz, Visitors Center Manager, says “I am thrilled to provide an opportunity to highlight the students' creative and musical skills.” Friday evening, the community will also be able to experience the SMART table collaborative learning center which allows up to eight students to electronically work on a lesson at the same time.
