Greenbrier County Convention and Visitors Bureau holds Cooperative Grant Program Training

November 26, 2014

Lewisburg, WV - The Greenbrier County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) will hold a training workshop for its Cooperative Advertising Mini-Grant Program at 10 a.m. on December 9th. The session will be held in the Rahall Conference Room at the Greenbrier Valley Visitors Center in downtown Lewisburg. Any organization that is interested in obtaining marketing funds to use towards a tourism-related project should plan to attend. As part of the program, the Greenbrier Country CVB awards up to $2000 per project. Those eligible to apply include two or more businesses or a non-profit doing business in Greenbrier County. Eligible projects will promote attendance to an event, attraction or initiative and in turn increase occupancy rates at Greenbrier Country lodging properties. Projects must target markets outside of a 50-mile radius. The CVB reimburses 100 percent of the proposed marketing expenses up to the total amount awarded. Many updates to the program have been made for 2015, so we encourage attendance of past recipients as well as first-time applicants. For more information regarding the Cooperative Advertising Program, visit the CVB website at greenbrierwv.com/tourism_partners/cvb_mini_grant_program. An application can be obtained by emailing the CVB Marketing Manager, Beth Gill at bgill@greenbrierwv.com. The Greenbrier Country CVB looks forward to partnering with the community as we continue to grow sustainable tourism in our area.
