Greenbrier County CVB Launches Best of the Greenbrier Valley Contest

Lewisburg, WV – The Greenbrier County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is seeking votes for the “Best of the Greenbrier Valley” contest which gets underway Friday, March 20.

 All are invited to cast a vote for their favorite Greenbrier Valley attraction, lodging property, retail shop, restaurant and event. Those who vote will be eligible for several prizes that will be drawn throughout the duration of the contest.

 From March 20 to April 10, votes may be cast by logging onto the CVB's website at www.greenbrierwv.com, clicking on our social media’s “Best of the Greenbrier Valley” posts, or completing a form at the Visitors Center. One entry is allowed per name and email address.

 "When people make the choice to travel to the Greenbrier Valley, it’s a significant impact on our local economy," said Kara Dense, Executive Director of the Greenbrier County CVB. "As travel season gets underway, our tourism partners work overtime to welcome those visitors into our area, and we want to shine the spotlight on the significant contribution they make. We're asking everyone to show their support by casting a vote."

In conjunction with National Travel and Tourism Week, contest winners will be announced at the annual Best of the Greenbrier Valley Awards Reception and Business after Hours on May 7, 2015. Hosted by the Greenbrier

Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Greenbrier Valley Chamber of Commerce, this event honors all our tourism partners and the enhancements they bring to our area.

Scheduled for May 3 through 9, National Travel and Tourism Week is an annual distinction by Congress to show the affect that tourism makes on the economy. In the Greenbrier Valley, 1.3 million visitors are welcomed annually, with an economic impact of more than $243 million. The Greenbrier Valley is the second most visited region in the state.
