Tucked in a quiet corner of the Monongahela National Forest, Lake Sherwood is a 165-acre mountain oasis revered for its swimming, fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding opportunities. Come equipped with picnic-fixings and wile away the afternoon on the lake’s only island -- connected to the “mainland” by an arched walking bridge.
COVID-19 UPDATE 06.16.20: The West Shore camping loop in Lake Sherwood Recreation Area will open June 25. Other services are limited due to water shortages in the Lake Sherwood well.
