Historic Candlelit Cemetery Tours

October 16, 17, 24 & 25, 2025 at 7pm, 7:30pm and 8pm

Carnegie Hall in partnership with the Greenbrier Historical Society will offer a guided candlelit tour of sections of the historical cemeteries located in downtown Lewisburg on October 16, 17, 24 and 25 at 7pm, 7:30pm and 8pm each night. Participants will learn the fascinating history about the lives...and deaths...of some of the most interesting interred. Tours will be led by the ghoulish docents of the North House who will share spooky legends, lore and interesting facts along the way.

Tours leave from Carnegie Hall and conclude at The North House Museum with a private viewing of the exhibit The Good Death: Mourning Culture in Victorian America.  

Cost is $13 per person (age 12 and older) with a maximum tour group size of 13. Period dress is encouraged.
