Greenbrier Historical Society is thrilled to announce the 250th Camp Union Anniversary Weekend planned for the last weekend in September! Event highlights include the following:
Friday, September 27th will be a day dedicated exclusively to local 8th-grade students gibing them the opportunity to participate in special interactive programs designed to bring history to life and deepen their understanding of Camp Union's significance.
Saturday, September 28th ~ 10am-4pm ~ Attendees can immerse themselves in the past with historical living history re-enactments and exploration of the new exhibit at The Barracks. This event is FREE and open to the public.
Sunday, September 29th ~ 10am-Noon: Living History Reenactments & Exhibit ~ 2pm: Carnegie Hall will host an enlightening key-note lecture by Alan Gutchess, Director of the Fort Pitt Museum with a reception at The North House Museum following the lecture. These events are FREE and open to the public.
There is also a special exhibit now open at The North House Museum entitled the Herstory Exhibit. It celebrates the remarkable contributions of women throughout history, highlighting their influences and achievements which have often gone unrecognized. Don't miss it!
