We believe the best way to experience the Greenbrier Valley is through the moments that stay with you, and we’d love for you to share yours. Through our photo contest, we invite you to show us the places, people and experiences you love, giving others a glimpse of the warmth and friendly character that define the valley.
Each quarter of the year features a different themed photo contest. Cash prizes are awarded for the top three photos: $100 to first place, $75 to second place, and $50 to third place.
March 1 - May 31 NOW OPEN: Greenbrier Valley Golden Hour
Pro Tip: The Golden Hour is the 30-to-60-minute window just after sunrise or before sunset when the sun is low, and the light turns soft and golden. Shadows are longer, colors are richer, and scenes feel more dramatic. If the photo looks glowy and a little magical, you’re shooting at the right time.
For this contest, Experience Greenbrier Valley is seeking photos that align with the quarterly themes. We do not accept any images that are not taken by the “Contestant,” are from sites/locations outside of Greenbrier County, were created by AI, are over-processed or contain inappropriate or political messaging.
Pro Tip: You may submit more then one photo for each themed quarter, but the upload portal accepts only one image at a time.

Greenbrierwv.com is a travel and tourism website. The purpose of this contest is to give visitors a glimpse of the Greenbrier Valley through your eyes and inspire them to see it for themselves. Submitted photos should align with the spirit of Experience Greenbrier Valley’s mission… to showcase Greenbrier County as a premier tourist destination.
Submitted photos may be used by Experience Greenbrier Valley in our marketing. That includes but is not limited to social media, websites, print advertising and collateral. We will provide photo credit where possible.
Photos are reviewed internally before they are published to the website photo contest gallery to be sure they meet the entry guidelines. Review Official Rules – Entry.
Winners will be announced within 10 days of the contest end date, provided that at least 15 individuals (Contestants) defined by name and email address have entered the contest for a given quarter. Winners will be selected by the Experience Greenbrier Valley staff.
