History Stop

The building has a long history in education well beyond its use today. It was originally constructed in 1877, then rebuilt in 1924 which included a complete remodel of the interior and facade. It served at the local high school from 1910 to 1924. In 1968, the high schoolers moved to a new school, with elementary students remaining until 2012. Much of the building has been preserved and repurposed to continue its mission as an educational and community center.
