The Greenbrier resort will host for the fifth year The Battle for the Springhouse Basketball Tournament on Friday, January 30th and Saturday, January 31st, 2026. Eight of the top boys and girls high school basketball teams from all across the state of WV will play to win the coveted Springhouse Trophy.  Games will be played in the Greenbrier's Colonial Hall located inside the resort's main building so tickets will be limited due to the intimate and one-of-a-kind arena setup. Don't miss your opportunity to take part in this one-of-a-kind basketball fan experience!

*Tickets will not be mailed. All tickets will need to be picked up at Will Call on the day of the event. Tickets must be purchased for each game at a cost of $5 each and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Games have sold out in the past, so advance ticket purchase is highly recommended. (Tickets not sold in advance will be available at the door, if any.)

*Parking for the event will be at the Train Station Lot across form the main entrance with complimentary shuttles running throughout each day.

  • 2:00pm – Girls Semifinal: Morgantown vs. Parkersburg
    4:00pm – Boys Semifinal: Wyoming East vs. Bridgeport
    6:00pm – Boys Semifinal: James Monroe vs. Greenbrier East
    8:00pm – Girls Semifinal: Riverside vs. Greenbrier East

Saturday, January 31, 2026

  • 1:00pm -- Girls Consolation Game
  • 3:00pm -- Boys Consolation Game
  • 5:00pm -- Boys Championship Game
  • 7:00pm -- Girls Championship Game
