NOV & DEC - Decked out in holiday finery, it's easy to get in the spirit of the season on a visit to The Greenbrier resort. Celebrating 60 Days of Holiday Cheer, you'll find all sorts of things do from a weekly Tree Lighting Ceremony to Christmas Caroling.
NOV 18 & 19 – Kick off your shopping plans with the Lewisburg Holiday Open House. The downtown district is transformed into a holiday wonderland complete with ice carving demonstrations, horse-drawn carriage rides and, of course, a visit by Santa.
NOV 25 - Be sure to shop small throughout the Greenbrier Valley. Gifts for the sensible-chic to the “person who has everything” can be found in any number of independent shops.
NOV 30 – DEC 16 – A magical evening out for the whole family, Babes in Toyland is a musical extravaganza that weaves classic Mother Goose characters into a beautifully rich Christmas Fantasia.
DEC 1 - You won’t want to miss the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra in its performance of “Home for the Holidays” at Carnegie Hall. On the same night, the town of Alderson hosts it Holiday Parade and Grand Illumination. Festivities kick off with the crowning of the Queen of Lights followed by the annual Grand Illumination on Main Street. Everything wraps with a visit by Saint Nick and treats at the Community Center.
DEC 2 - In December, the momentum of the holiday season is sure to make you smile. Visit the historic village of White Sulphur Springs for its Holiday Open House.
DEC 9 - The following weekend, downtown Lewisburg celebrates Girls’ Day Out. A must do if you’re planning a holiday-season-girlfriend getaway.
DEC 10 – A 25-year Christmas concert tradition, enjoy the Greenbrier Valley Chorale in “The Brightest and Best Music of Christmas” at Carnegie Hall. Expect new twists and familiar favorites.
DEC 12 – JAN 1 - Christmas in the Greenbrier Valley wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the fair! Celebrate Christmas at the Fair with ice skating, light show and, of course, visits with Santa!
