The Town of Alderson and Alderson Main Street will host its "Grand Illumination and (Reverse) Christmas Parade" on December 4, 2020. Get into the holiday spirit by bringing the whole family to join the festivities! The REVERSE parade will begin at 6:30pm after the "Queen of Lights" waves her magic wand to light up the Alderson Memorial Bridge, the star which shines over the town and the Grand Illumination of the Alderson town tree, businesses and homes. The beautifully decorated Memorial Bridge will be illuminated in lights and open to drive across for a period of time on the evening of December 4.
The Reverse Parade participants will be stationary and lined up on Monroe Street North...with the spectators driving by from the Monroe side of town, across the lighted Memorial Bridge and North on Monroe St. Parade participants will be wearing gloves and masks and handing out packaged treats. During the parade time, all traffic will be one way along the parade route.
There's something for everyone at the Christmas festivities in Alderson!
