For one day, the streets of downtown Lewisburg fill with chocolatiers exchanging $1 tickets for sweet, tasty treats. The extravaganza includes live music, face-painting, professional chef demonstrations, bake-offs, the 10K Chocolate Chase or Fun Walk and much more!
Tastings are available from 11am to 4pm with each tasting costing 1 ticket. There are over 30 different tasting items all within the 3 blocks of the downtown district.
Tickets go on sale February 11, 2019. They can be purchased at the event website and at the Greenbrier Valley Visitors Center.
Bake-Off. If you have a baker's thumb, join the "All Things Chocolate Bake-Off." To enter bring your registration form and $5.00 for the entry fee. You'll need to supply a copy of your recipe the day of the event and ready to serve samples of your creation. The winning recipe will be published on the festival website and Facebook. All proceeds benefit the Greenbrier Humane Society.
Chocolate Chase 10K & Fun Walk. Before diving into all those chocolate tastings, burn some calories at the Chocolate Chase. The race starts at the Greenbrier Valley Airport, crossed Route 219N and follows Arbuckle Rd. to Fairview Rd. The finish line is located at the Greenbrier County Courthouse, a block north of downtown Lewisburg.
Overnight Package. Plan to stay the weekend. Just minutes away the Fairfield Inn & Suites is offering a free shuttle, tasting tickets and other goodies as part of a weekend getaway.
