Tourism Partners


In order to be ready for the website launch next month, we need some materials to complete your new and improved business page.

Photos – The new site is very image rich. That means we’re looking for great photos that represent your business. Please send us up to 6 high quality photos (1 will get us started, more just makes your business a “must do” for customers). Be sure to use the highest resolution setting on your smart phone or camera. In order to fit the web spaces available, each image must be a JPEG file and composed so that it’s wider than it is tall (landscape). Please send your images to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) by Wednesday, 03.15.17. 

Please note, if you don’t supply at least one image, we may have to use stock photography or something less specific to identify your business. “No photo” is not an option with this new website.

New Street Address – If you received a new 911 address in the last year, it’s likely that Google doesn’t know about it. Our new site relies heavily on Google maps. If you want visitors to know where your business is located, it’s important that you update your address through Google MyBusiness. If you’re not sure how to set it up, click HERE for an instructional guide. The CVB is also available for one-on-one assistance.

Please note, we will use your old address until you let us know when your new address is live on Google.

Hashtag – Business pages on the new website feature an area that displays images from a #hashtag or Instagram account. If you use a particular #hashtag for your business, let us know what it is. The website will pull images tagged with that #hashtag directly from Instagram. If you have an active Instagram account but no particular #hashtag, we can funnel those images into your page as well. The latter, requires giving the CVB access to your account. Please email Beth Gill to get this feature set up.

The Greenbrier County CVB Partner Education Workshop Series will equip you with basic “must do’s” and other easy-to-implement techniques proven to get customers in your door. Remaining workshops include:

March 14, 2017 – Telling Your Story – effective tools for pitching, earning and ensuring great media coverage for your business or event.

April 25, 2017 - Getting the Most Out of Social Media “A Dummies Guide” – easy-to-implement tactics that will amplify your message and tap directly into your customer base.

Held at the Greenbrier Valley Visitors Center, workshops are FREE to partners and take place from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on the dates noted above. Please RSVP at least 2 days prior to each event - .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)  or  304-645-1000 


The Greenbrier County Convention & Visitors Bureau represents approximately 265 tourism-related businesses throughout Greenbrier County. As a non-membership CVB, we do not charge for our services and strive to highlight each business partner's assets. Each tourism partner is represented in the Official Visitors Guide to Greenbrier County, on the CVB website, and in every brochure and collateral piece we create that is relevant to their specific type of business.

Tourism partners should take note of an online form that can be used to submit new event information or to make changes or additions to shopping, lodging, attractions or dining listings located on the website. Now it's easier than ever to stay connected to the CVB and keep us apprised of all that you do!
