Two Greenbrier County Restaurants Named to 101 Unique Places to Dine List

Posted: Jul 15, 2009

Lewisburg, WV (July 15, 2009) – Two, local favorites, Jim’s Drive-In and The Mason Jar, were chosen among 400 nominees as part of the 101 Unique Places to Dine West Virginia contest.

Located in Lewisburg, Jim’s Drive-In is best known for their burgers and fries. Diners can experience that old-time drive-in feel while choosing among burgers, hot dogs, homemade chili, ice cream and more that’s brought right to your car or available for take-out.

White Sulphur Springs’ Mason Jar is a full-service, family-owned restaurant that serves a variety of home-cooked specials, including hand-cut steaks and seafood. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming.

101 Unique Places to Dine is a joint effort between the West Virginia Division of Tourism, Collaborative for the 21st Century Appalachia and the state Department of Agriculture that identifies the best eateries across the state of West Virginia. The public was encouraged to vote for their local favorites earlier this year. The complete list can be found at www.wvtourism.com/101uniquedining.

Jim’s Drive-In is located on Route 60 west of Lewisburg. They can be reached at 304-645-2590. The Mason Jar is located at 61 East Main Street, White Sulphur Springs. They can be reached at 304-536-5001.
