The fourth annual Lewisburg Chocolate Festival will take place Saturday, April 10th in historic downtown Lewisburg. The event is jam packed with activities for chocolate lovers of all ages.
The featured event is the Chocolate Tasting Extravaganza on Saturday, April 10th from 11am to 4pm. Stroll downtown Lewisburg and indulge in chocolate delicacies of top national chocolate companies, fine regional chocolatiers and the specialties of local pastry chefs! This activity includes over 30 tasting locations along downtown Washington Street. Tasting tickets go on sale March 8.
The Chocolate Festival boasts an endless list of activities throughout the day. In addition to the tasting extravaganza, try your luck at the Chocolate Mousse Eating competition! Or, if baking is your talent, enter your best chocolate creation in the Chocolate Bake Off. Anything goes! Children can enjoy a reading of “Curious George and the Chocolate Festival”, presented by The North House Museum. And returning this year, the ever popular “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” at the Lewis Theatre.
To kick off your weekend of chocolate fun, consider taking part in the Chocolate for Dinner Class offered by Carnegie Hall on Thursday evening, April 8th. Or make a dinner reservation at one of our great downtown restaurants and experience a unique chocolate themed entree and dessert, only offered on Friday and Saturday nights.
On Saturday, arrive early to attend the Chocolate Brunch at Greenbrier County Public Library or stay late to attend a special concert at Carnegie Hall featuring Paquito D’Rivera, a recipient of the National Medal for the Arts. Hailed by The National Endowment for the Arts as the “consummate multinational ambassador, creating and promoting a cross-culture of music that moves effortlessly among jazz, Latin, and Mozart,” this you won’t want to miss.
