Spirit of Tourism Awards Luncheon Scheduled for September 27

LEWISBURG, W.VA. (September 10, 2007) The Greenbrier County Convention and Visitors Bureau will celebrate the growth of tourism in Greenbrier County with the Spirit of Tourism Luncheon on Thursday, September 27 at Blackwell’s Restaurant in Lewisburg.
“Tourism is the number one industry in Greenbrier County and it is important for us to celebrate the individuals that are responsible for the industry’s continued success,” said Kara Dense, CVB Executive Director.
The luncheon will also recognize the recipients of the 2007 Spirit of Tourism Awards. Nominations are still being accepted for the four awards designed to honor those who have gone above and beyond in the areas of tourism development, volunteerism, securing a convention or meeting to our area and those who have excelled at partnering with the CVB. To nominate an individual, business or organization, simply send a one-page, type written letter explaining why they are deserving of the award by September 27 to the CVB at:

The Spirit of Tourism Awards Luncheon will take place from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. The cost of the lunch is $10.00 and is payable at the door. Please RSVP to Delilah Dixon at 304-645-1000 by September 21.
