Greenbrier County CVB Responds to Announcement of The Greenbrier Classic

Lewisburg, WV (August 6, 2009) - The following statement has been issued by the Greenbrier County Convention and Visitors Bureau in response to The Greenbrier’s August 5 announcement of securing the PGA Tour event, The Greenbrier Classic.
The Greenbrier Classic is sure to have a tremendous economic impact on Greenbrier County, and we are very excited! Not only will this event fill the 1,300+ rooms within our county, but also throughout the region. With more than 5,500 rooms in Beckley, WV, Covington, VA, and Lexington, VA, we are certain the surrounding areas will feel the positive effects of this event as well.
We’re looking forward to welcoming the PGA Tour and its attendees to the beautiful Greenbrier Valley. With our quaint downtowns and various amenities and attractions, we’re excited to have the opportunity to showcase this area to the world.
The CVB is committed to the success of The Greenbrier Classic in 2010 and for the next six years.
