Greenbrier County CVB Mini Grant Program Provides Marketing Funds for County Events

LEWISBURG, W.Va. (November 28, 2007) The Greenbrier County Convention and Visitors Bureau’s Cooperative Advertising Grant Program is an excellent resource for groups promoting tourism-related events and activities within the county.
Since the program’s inception in July 2002, the CVB has provided more than $166,000 to the marketing efforts of a variety of events and attractions including the Alderson Fall Heritage Festival, Rupert Country Fling, Freshwater Folk Festival, White Sulphur Springs Dandelion Festival, Greenbrier Hills Golf Club, Taste of Our Towns Festival and many more.
Funding is available in the form of mini grants to groups (two or more businesses), organizations and nonprofits operating in Greenbrier County. Applications should not exceed $2,000 and will be awarded to local organizations engaged in the promotion of tourist-related activities and events.
Applications for the CVB’s mini grants are reviewed by the organization’s Marketing Committee twice each year, once in January and again in July. The next deadline for grant submission is January 7, 2008.
