CVB Honor August Hospitality Stars

Lewisburg, WV (September 19, 2007) The Greenbrier County Convention and Visitors Bureau is delighted to recognize the Hospitality Star nominees for the month of August.

Receiving more than 160 nominations for 6 businesses over the past month, the program recognizes exceptional customer service.

Marie Boggs and Michael McCormick of Shoney’s tied for the most nominations in August with 39 a piece.

Other nominees for August were Nan Morgan of the General Lewis Inn; Tara and Wayne LeBlanc of the Great Oak B&B; Christine Cayton and Shanon Johnson of the Hampton Inn; Laurie Massey of Oakhurst Links; Whitney Stewart, Kristen Fogus, Helen Burns, Nora Mann, Trista Dotson, Shana Hamrick, Katie Thompson, Kelly Shepard, Carol Flora, Ashley Harrah, Seda Persinger, Amanda Mcferrin, Cindy Dolan and Julie Burns, all of Shoney’s.

The Hospitality Stars program is designed recognize exceptional service by hospitality employees throughout the county.  With more than 38 businesses participating, the CVB received more than 250 nominations since the program began in July.  Each month, nominated employees receive a star lapel pin and recognition by the CVB.  The CVB will host a celebration for all of the nominees during next year’s National Tourism Awareness Week, where one standout will be named the “Hospitality Star of the Year.”
