Afternoon - Greenbrier County is fortunate to have a wide array of artists in residence throughout the Valley, and upon arrangement the CVB can schedule behind the scenes tours of their studios for you and your group. Tour groups will be invited into the home studios of members of the Greenbrier Artists, a group with more than 60 members that has been in existence for 35 years.
Dinner - Feast at the General Lewis Inn, which was also featured on the food Network’s “Best of…” series in 2004.
Evening - Attend a performance at Carnegie Hall, known for great live musical performances ranging from classical, jazz, folk and bluegrass.

Marriage Licenses
Visit the Greenbrier County Clerks Office to obtain a marriage license. The office is open Monday through Friday, from 8:30a.m. to 4:30p.m. and is located within the Greenbrier County Courthouse in Lewisburg.

Applying for a Marriage License
Both bride and groom must be present when applying for a marriage license. The fee for a marriage license is $36.00.
You will need to present a photo identification, such as a driver’s license, state ID or passport. You will need your parents’ full names, including your mother’s maiden name, and their places of birth. If previously married, the date of divorce or date of spouse’s death must be provided. Bring a certified copy of the divorce decree or death certificate.
Residency
You do not have to be a resident of West Virginia to obtain a marriage license. Non-residents may apply in any county. If you are a state resident, you must apply in the county where you live.
Waiting Period and Expiration
You will receive your license immediately. However, there is a three (3) day waiting period after license is issued before you are allowed to get married, and licenses expire 60 days after issuance.
Age Requirements
- You must be at least 18 years old or older to marry without parental consent. A birth certificate may be necessary to show proof of age.
- If either partner is under 18, parental or guardian consent forms must be signed. You will need a certified copy of your birth certificate.
- If you are under 16, you cannot marry without a court order.
- A minor who is pregnant does not need parental consent as long as the pregnancy is verified in a written statement by a licensed physician.
