Sam Black United Methodist Church

Built in 1901 and dedicated in memory of the Rev. Sam Black (1813-99), a longstanding Methodist circuit rider. The church, a spiritual landmark, became an established name on highway maps even without an established post office.
Located on US 60 East at the I-64 Sam Black Church Exit.
