Event Description

Type of Event: Plays

Join the Greenbrier Valley Theatre for Christopher Sergel’s adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Harper Lee.

To Kill a Mockingbird is the coming of age story of Jean Louise “Scout” Finch. Told through the eyes of the adult Scout, this simple story of her childhood compels us to look into our own hearts as it raises questions about prejudice and injustice. A classic in every sense of the word, the play’s message is just as relevant today as it was in when it was first published in the height of the Civil Rights’ Movement in 1960. GVT presents weekend performances in the evening for general audiences and school matinees daily for area students.

October 24-25, 31 and November 1, 7-8, 14-15. For more information including curtain times or to make reservations, please call Greenbrier Valley Theatre at 304-645-3838.
