Alderson 4th of July Celebration

June 30th - July 5th 2017

ALDERSON, WV

Every year, the Town of Alderson turns red, white and blue and hosts what has become known as West Virginia’s BEST Fourth of July Celebration. This 6-day event features everything from a Fireman’s Rodeo, to an All-American Baking Contest to the Ducks on the River Rubber Duck Race. And, of course, a Grand Parade and Grand Fireworks Display!

Here are just a few highlights of the many events that will be going on:

 

Friday, June 30

7-11pm – Fireman’s Rodeo – Alderson Memorial Football Field

 

Saturday, July 1

7:30am – Run for Snacks 5k (Walk or Run) -- Alderson Public Library

11am – Cornhole Tournament – Alderson Memorial Football Field

12pm – All-American Baking Contest – Alderson Community Center Kitchen

1pm – Horse Show – Glen Ray City Building

6:30pm – 4th of July Banquet – Alderson Community Center

 

Sunday, July 2

12pm – White Water Canoe Race – Fort Spring

7pm – Gospel Sing – Alderson Memorial Football Field

 

Monday, July 3

7-10pm – 7-Mile Ford Band – Alderson Memorial Field

 

Tuesday, July 4

9am-3pm – Throttle Throbs Car Show – Old Greenbrier Baptist Church Lot

10:30am – Grand Parade (lineup starts at 8am at Alderson Elementary School)

1pm – Presentation of Colors – Alderson Memorial Football Field

7-10pm – The Worx Band – Alderson Memorial Football Field

 

Wednesday, July 5

6pm – Ducks on the River Rubber Duck Race – Alderson Mini Park
