- The travel industry in WV employs 44,000 individuals generates more than $850 million in earnings annually.

- Tourism is the county’s largest employer with 2,660 people, nearly 15% of the total workforce in the county.
- The Greenbrier is the county’s largest tourism employer at 1800.
- In 2006, Greenbrier County tourists contributed more than $223 million to the economy.
- The traffic count for the county’s main route Rt. 219, was 22,500 per day in 2003.
- The county is easily accessed by six exits along Interstate 64.
- The City of Lewisburg’s Average Daily Rate (PDF file - ADR) and RevPAR (PDF file - Revenue per available room) have increased each year since 1998.
- The occupancy in the City of Lewisburg’s hotels and Bed & Breakfasts has nearly doubled since 1998.
