CVB Activities

Hospitality Stars

The CVB has a Hospitality Stars program to help our local tourism businesses capture great reviews of their employees from our visitors. For information on the program or to request brochures to distribute at your business, please email . The comment cards are tallied monthly and individuals are recognized with a Certificate of Appreciation. They then qualify to be considered for Hospitality Star of the Year, which will be awarded during National Tourism Week in May 2008. This program is a great pat on the back for the county’s many hospitality employees.

2008 Official Visitors Guide to Greenbrier County

The new Visitors Guide is due out in May 2008! This new guide will be printed at a smaller quantity than we have in the past to allow us to totally redevelop the guide in the fall for a January 2009 release. After that, the Visitors Guide will always come out in January of each following year. You can request your copy or view it here.

Tourism Awareness Week

The CVB will celebrate National Tourism Week, May 10-18. The second annual Greenbrier County Tourism Summit is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 14 at the WV State Fairgrounds in Fairlea. This year’s keynote speaker is Berkeley Young of Young Strategies. Young has more than 20 years of experience in the tourism industry and has worked with destinations in 26 states and is a popular speaker at regional and national conferences and conventions, as well as travel conferences. Join us on May 14th! More information will be distributed to tourism partners closer to the event.
