About Greenbrier County CVB

The Greenbrier County Convention and Visitors Bureau is the official destination marketing organization of Greenbrier County, West Virginia.

The Greenbrier County CVB is a 501(C)6 non-profit corporation formed in 2001 with the mission to “positively impact the area’s economy by marketing it as a premier tourist destination.” The CVB is funded by 50% of the lodging tax (according to WV State Code 7-18-1) collected by Greenbrier County and the municipalities of Lewisburg, White Sulphur Springs, Ronceverte and Alderson.

As a non-membership organization, the CVB promotes every tourism-related business and event in Greenbrier County. Each tourism business, referred to as our “tourism partners” receives a free listing in our annual Greenbrier Valley Visitors Guide, a free listing on our website and free space for their brochures to be displayed in the Greenbrier Valley Visitors Center.

The Greenbrier County CVB is governed by a 17-member board of directors, made up of funding partners from various sectors of the county’s tourism industry. As an extension of the board, there are several committees dedicated to providing input and guidance for each facet of the organization. Daily operations of the CVB are managed by 5 full-time and 4 part-time staff.

The CVB's annual form 990 is available upon request.
